What is Otodoke Ristorante?

A. It's a chef dispatch service for home parties. The chef will purchase the ingredients, cook at the location of your choice, and even clean up afterward.
A. Catering is a service where food cooked in a restaurant or hotel is delivered and served, and it is typical for the cooked food to be delivered. Otodoke Ristorante, on the other hand, is a service where the chef visits and cooks on-site, providing a variety of warm dishes. Moreover, while catering is often used for corporate use and large parties, Otodoke Ristorante is perfect for family celebrations or gatherings like a moms' meeting.
A. Yes, we can. Please contact us if you have more than 21 people.
A. Generally, only one chef will visit, but there may be occasions where staff accompany them.

Fees

A. No, there is no membership fee.
A. The cost of ingredients, chef's labor cost, travel cost, and transportation fee are included. (For distant locations, an additional transportation fee may apply) For details, please check 'What's included in your order (order amount)' from the price of the delivery restaurant.
A. You can pay by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, JCB, AMERICAN EXPRESS, Diners Club). If you don't have a credit card, payment by bank transfer is also possible.
A. No, there are not. The cost of ingredients is included in the order amount.
A. The chef's transportation fee is not included in the price. Depending on the distance between the chef you order from and the customer, an additional transportation fee may apply

Chef Visit Location

A. Currently, our delivery restaurant service covers the Kansai, Kanto, Chubu, and Chugoku regions. If the chef cannot travel to your location after the order is placed, we may have to decline your request. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. Of course, we will refund your payment. A. Generally, the chef cannot travel to a location without a kitchen. However, there may be exceptions, such as sushi chefs who can accommodate such situations. For more details, please contact us directly.
A. Yes, as long as there is a kitchen space, it is fine. We have provided services at locations other than homes, including rental spaces with kitchens and condominium party spaces with kitchens. If you have any questions, please contact us.
A. If it's more than a 10-minute walk from the nearest station, we ask that you pick up the chef by car or cover the round-trip taxi fare from the station on the day of the visit. If there are any uncertainties, please ask us via the contact form.
A. In many cases, if you're near the chef's service area, it might be possible. Even for locations outside the area, we can accommodate your request by charging an additional transportation fee. For more details, please contact us.

About the Chef

A. The chefs registered with our delivery restaurant service are all experienced in the culinary field. They include active restaurant chefs, cooks who have trained in Italy and France, former instructors from culinary schools, and cooking class teachers. You can be sure of their cooking skills. Only those who have passed our delivery restaurant's screening are registered as our chefs. Please feel free to choose a chef that suits your preference. You can see the list of our chefs here.
A. Yes, you can ask questions to a specific chef. Please specify the chef's name and send your question via our contact form.

About the Food

A. The chef's specialty dishes and what they can offer varies, but they typically provide a 4-5 course meal, from appetizers to the main dish. Only some chefs offer dessert. For more details, please visit the individual chef's page. You can see the list of our chefs here.
A. This depends on the chef, but they usually purchase the ingredients on the day of their visit from local stores or supermarkets.
A. Yes, please inform the delivery restaurant staff or the chef in charge during the hearing after your order. We will serve you while avoiding those ingredients.

About Cooking Utensils & Tableware

A. Yes, we will use what is available at the location of your visit. If you do not have the necessary items, the chef will provide them. Usually, we can sufficiently accommodate with basic items such as pots and pans that you have on hand.
A. Generally, we use what is available at the location of your visit. If there are many people, we might prepare large plates like in a restaurant, and have you serve yourselves. Some chefs who drive may also bring dishes, but please note that this is not always the case. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

Ordering Process

A. Please choose your preferred date from the calendar on each chef's page and place your order. If you have any questions before ordering, feel free to contact us. See the list of chefs and cooks here.
A. We ask that you place your order after the number of servings (not the number of participants, but the number of meals to be prepared) has been confirmed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
A. For instance, if one child requires a full adult portion, please count them as one person. On the other hand, if two children share one adult portion, please count them as one person. If you have any questions, such as requests for a child menu, please contact us.

About the flow from order to the day of the event

A. After arriving at the designated location at the scheduled time, it usually takes about 3 to 3.5 hours. The first hour or so is mainly for preparation and setup, and the latter 2 to 2.5 hours are for cooking, serving the food, and cleaning up.
A. After placing the order, we will ask you to fill out a hearing sheet. We will ask about your kitchen facilities and any food dislikes at your venue. For more details, please check the 'Flow from order to the day' section in the usage method.
A. After the chef arrives, we would appreciate if you could explain about your kitchen facilities and tableware. After that, there is nothing in particular that we need you to do. Please enjoy your time while waiting.

About cancellation, changes in the number of orders and location

A. Yes, you can cancel after placing an order. However, a cancellation fee will be incurred depending on the number of days until the scheduled visit date. For more details, please refer to the Terms of Use and Order Agreement.
A. You can change the visiting location of the chef if it's within their service area. If you wish to change to a location outside the area, please contact the delivery restaurant staff.
A. If the number of people increases, you will need to pay an additional fee. If the number decreases, it will be treated the same as a cancellation for the reduced number. Please first contact the delivery restaurant staff.
