Driven by a love for travel, I backpacked around Italy at a young age.
This life-changing journey inspired me to switch careers at 25—from a graphic designer to the culinary world.
I spent five years honing my skills in the kitchens of classical French and Italian restaurants before transitioning to the service side, where I pursued my passion for wine and became a sommelier.
At 30, my husband and I moved to Tuscany, Italy.
We explored various regions, studied traditional local cuisines, and deepened our knowledge of wine through visits to countless wineries.
After returning to Japan, we opened our own restaurant, Ristorante Il Ciliegio.
For 13 wonderful years, we welcomed guests together until my husband’s health condition prompted us to change course.
We renamed the restaurant Centonovanta, and today, I run the space alone as both an art gallery owner and chef-sommelier, four days a week.
The restaurant offers around 15 different wines by the glass at all times, with a strong reputation for food and wine pairings.
Our private chef services with wine pairing are also very well received, offering a special dining experience right in the comfort of your home.
